A variety of new DLC options are incoming for Doom; that’s what we learned from the Bethesda E3 DOOM showcase. Some small free updates will be arriving, along with a paid expansion called Unto the Evil.

The first level of the game has been made available on the Steam Store, Playstation Store and Xbox Marketplace for free download, however, it will be available for this week only. Grab it while you can to get an idea of what Doom is all about!

The free content will mainly be in the form of an update to SnapMap; Doom’s in-game level and content creation mode. This update will add features including a new hell level skin, a copyable weapon wheel, new logic operatives and more. This will hopefully inspire some new possibilities for the mode. New multiplayer maps will be available for editing in SnapMap too.

The paid DLC pack, Unto the Evil, will mainly feature new multiplayer content. Some of items confirmed to be in this mode are a new Demon form called “The Harvester”, new maps and new weapons. This DLC will launch next month.
