Gravity Rush series director Keiichiro Toyama expressed his disappointment to share the news that Gravity Rush 2, the eagerly awaited sequel to the PS Vita’s Gravity Rush, would be delayed to a January 18th (EU), January 20th (UK) release date.

The game was initially due to release in December, however, he commented that “though production is proceeding smoothly, the landscape for that release date has changed dramatically” and thus the developer has been forced to delay the release of the game.

As a gesture to apologise to fans, the small piece of DLC which was due to launch alongside the game will now be available to everyone free of charge. Gravity Rush 2 will launch as a PlayStation 4 exclusive title and is in development by Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan Studio.
