4J Studios, the game studio behind porting Minecraft 360 today revealed via Twitter that they were already working on updates to the 360 edition of the game. The studio revealed that they are currently working on bringing the game up to PC version Beta 1.7.3 as the game currently stands at PC version Beta 1.6.

From this confirmation, 4J has now confirmed they will be implementing more than 1 update at a time. This shows that the game will eventually be on par with the PC version of the game. The next update was earlier confirmed to be the equivalent of Beta 1.7.3 on the PC;

“We’re aiming to update to the major PC releases – first one will be the equivalent of the PC Beta 1.7.3 version”

This shows that the team is going to be supporting the game, hopefully releasing updates faster than the PC gets its new updates to bring us closer to being on par. Beta 1.7.3 will bring new blocks such as pistons to the game and will also change a few textures such as cobblestone.
