The Playstation 4 hardware specifications were released after the Sony E3 conference which aired in the early hours of the morning, for anything who is living in a BST time zone. The HDD, size, region locking, inputs and accessories (bundled and separate) have all been revealed…

– A 500GB upgradable hard drive will be included with the system.
– The console is 275mm in width, 53mm in height and 305mm in length (subject to change), extremely small for the first version of the console!
– The PS4 does not include the camera in the package, however, it is available separately for €49/$59/£44 and will connect through a dedicated AUX port on the back of the console.
– The console features two front USB3 ports, and the controllers will now connect using a Micro USB cable, rather than Mini USB.
– HDMI and Digital Audio Out are the two sole outputs available on the console, meaning the long lasting component output is gone.
– The console, a Dualshock 4, a headset, HDMI cable, USB (to micro) cable and power cord are included in every unit.
– If you wish to purchase a second controller, the Dualshock 4 will cost €59/$59/£54.
– The Playstation 4 is a region free console, meaning games from any region can be played on any console.
– The bundled headset connects through the 3.5mm jack and EXT input on the bottom of the Dualshock 4.
– Move will be supported on the system, presumably making use of the new camera.
– The disk slot is positioned between the two tiers of the console, to the left of the USB3 ports.
