Andrew House of Sony Interactive Entertainment finally confirmed that the Playstation 4 Neo does indeed exist, however, it will surprisingly not be featured at E3 2016.

House remained tight-lipped about any technical details but did confirm that the Playstation 4 Neo will be a complementary product which does not replace the original Playstation 4, but will be sold alongside it for the duration of the PS4 life-cycle. He had this to say:

It is intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4. We will be selling both through the life cycle. All games will support the standard PS4 and we anticipate all or a very large majority of games will also support the high-end PS4.

We want to ensure we have a full range of the best experiences on the new system that we can showcase in their entirety.

Thus, it appears that the console will not be making an appearance at E3 this year, however, this raises questions about the supposed release date of late 2016 where it was supposed to launch alongside Playstation VR.

The Playstation 4 Neo will retail at a higher price point than the current price of the Playstation 4. Stick with us for more news from Sony at E3 and the Playstation 4 Neo.
