The UK charts for the launch weekend (Friday 15th October) have been released and show a relatively strong showing for the launch titles on Sony’s exciting new platform.

Given the low install base, it is quite impressive that all titles bar one managed to sit within the top 40 selling titles. Playstation VR Worlds and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood did particularly well, reaching the top ten and sitting in seventh and ninth place respectively.

Further down the list, RIGS: Mechanised Combat League managed to reach twelfth place with EVE: Valkyrie sitting in twentieth place. At the top of the charts, FIFA 17 reigned supreme once again with Gears of War 4 reaching second place and 2K’s MAFIA III managing to take the third spot. Following those we have WWE2K17, Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20th Anniversary Edition, Forza Horizon 3, Skylanders Imaginators and Rocket League all making the top ten.

Sony’s Playstation VR has seen an extremely positive, well received launch and the strong sales figures of the launch titles despite platform exclusivity, a low install base and stiff competition would indicate that the system has sold well thus far.
