The mobile gaming platform, PLAYSTATION MOBILE (once known as PS Suite) has been further detailed by Sony, along with the announcements of new partners for the platform. It will bring cheap “app store” like games to Android mobiles, tablets and the PS VITA.

It will feature projects from major developers, along with indie games from start-up and casual developers. Sony are aiming for “snacked sized games” on the platform and have already released the developer tools, free of charge.

The platform is sure to bring excellent indie projects from casual devs who can now take advantage of a very cheap publishing platform, with very little cost to the developer.

They can be played on cross-platform, so you only pay once. ASUS and Wikipad have been announced as new partners for the system which is due to launch this autumn, with PSN features being added later.

Hopefully this kicks off as a major platform!
