Grim Fandango is a classic adventure game which was released by LucasArts in 1998. While the game was a financial flop and resulted in LucasArts leaving the adventure game business, it is widely regarded to be one of the best adventure games of all time.

The game was initially created under the directorship of Tim Schafer and features a story laced with comedy. Now, Tim Schafer has returned with his own studio, Double Fine, to resurrect the game for Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita. The announcement of this was met with screams and cheers from the audience at the conference, who were shocked and excited by the news.

The game will be remade with HD visuals, however, the classic comedic moments and exceptional soundtrack will be retained to stay true to the original. Watch the announcement below to see the reaction of the press:
