During their event in Japan, Sony made a number of exciting announcements. Not only did they reveal the outstanding PS Vita TV console, but they are also releasing a new revised PS Vita handheld console and announced the PS4 will launch in Japan in February 2014. They also released a trailer showing ‘A Day with Playstation’, featuring the impressive connectivity between the Playstation family.

As you can see, remote play integration between both the PS Vita handheld, and PS Vita TV console is seamless and works fantastically. The video displays the endless portable possibilities of the connectivity; the Vita TV can be brought to another person’s house and used to wirelessly connect with your PS4 at home so you don’t have to lug around the console. The Vita handheld can be used on the go where WiFi is available to continue your home gaming on the go. Vita TV can also be used to play your Vita games with a friend on the big screen. Sony really has thought about how they can use the wide range of Playstation family devices to their advantage, and, in my opinion, they have offered an almost unbeatable service.

PS Vita is out now at it’s recently reduced price, however, its new revision has not yet been confirmed for release outside Japan. Playstation Vita TV will release in Japan on November 14th, and again, release plans for other territories have not yet been confirmed. The Playstation 4 will launch on November 15th in the US, November 29th in Europe and in February 2014 in Japan.
